Job description

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions within our growing maritime operations. This role will play a critical part in building a strong workforce, supporting talent development, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and international maritime standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and the unique demands of the maritime industry.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for both onshore and offshore personnel, including crew management and shore-based staff hiring.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime labor regulations (e.g., MLC 2006) and local employment laws.
  • Manage onboarding, training, and development programs to enhance employee competencies and safety awareness.
  • Implement performance management systems to evaluate and enhance employee performance.
  • Support succession planning and career pathing initiatives across technical, operational, and corporate functions.
  • Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Lead HR compliance audits, particularly those related to crew welfare and vessel operations.
  • Collaborate closely with ship management, operations, and technical teams to align HR practices with operational needs.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with maritime standards.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safety-first workplace culture.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5–8 years HR experience,
  • Experienced within the maritime, shipping, offshore, or logistics sectors will be advantageous
  • Proven experience handling both seafaring and land-based personnel matters.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with HR software and crew management systems is advantageous.
