A leading company in the HR sector is seeking an experienced HR Manager for strategic consultancy on human resources activities to meet business objectives. The role involves managing employee relations, HR strategies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in HR Management and at least 5 years of management experience in HR.
Serve as a consultant to business leaders on all human resources related activities in order for the company to meet its strategic objectives. These duties include organizational/people development and design, performance management and learning, change/transition management, employee/labor relations, safety, compensation management and execution, human resources information system processes, and human resource planning
Essential Job Functions:
Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Working with Management Team to formulate HR strategies and align policies and programs with Company objectives
Maintains in-depth knowledge of Singapore employment law requirements
Ensure and adhere to legal compliance in accordance with local statutory guidelines
Monitor staff attendance and maintain leave records
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Compensation and benefits management (including monthly payroll processing and filing of CPF) and filing of employee income IR8A to IRAS Annually.
Manage foreign employees pass application and tax clearance
In charge of talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
Schedules new hire onboarding meetings, orientation and safety training
Creates and maintains employee files
Determines employee clothing allowance eligibility
Work with Management Team to perform staff annual KPI/appraisal exercise
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Following up to ensure training objectives are met.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Required:
Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
At least 5 years of HR Management (supervising) experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
Advanced proficiency in MS Office and any payroll software
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching/mentoring skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and implement HR policies
Strong knowledge of APAC employment laws and HR practices
Proactive, strong team player and able to work independently
