Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP)

Position Summary:

The HRBP plays a strategic role in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This role drives talent development, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR operations, HR governance, and Centre of Excellence initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders. The ideal candidate will be a key HR partner, providing data-driven insights and strategic solutions to enhance organizational performance and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Development & Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement people strategies that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Support managers in performance management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Lead employee engagement surveys and action plans to improve the overall employee experience.
  • Drive initiatives to foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

2. Compensation, Benefits & Rewards Management

  • Oversee salary structures, job grading, and incentive programs to maintain market competitiveness, including tabulation of sales commissions.
  • Partner with finance teams to manage budget planning for manpower related costs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, local regulations and company policies for all compensation and benefits matters.
  • Develop retention strategies, including non-monetary rewards and career progression opportunities.

3. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date, legally compliant, and aligned with best practices.
  • Manage HR systems (HRIS) and ensure accurate workforce data, reporting, and analytics.
  • Drive efficiency in HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Lead HR risk and compliance initiatives, including audits, workplace investigations, and legal reporting.

4. Centre of Excellence (COE) & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with HR COE teams on the implementation of HR initiatives, such as performance appraisal, employee engagement survey, salary review exercise.
  • Lead HR best practices and continuous improvement projects in key areas such as leadership development, learning & development (L&D), and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI).
  • Drive digital transformation and automation within HR processes for greater efficiency.
  • Champion change management initiatives to support business growth and transformation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with a strong HRBP focus and team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and HR analytics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good financial and business acumen, resourceful and high level of adaptability.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic, or multinational environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, workforce analytics, and digital HR solutions.
