JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Promotes safe work behavior at the workplace
  • Ensures that all employees under his/her direct report know, understand and work in accordance with Safe Work Procedures
  • Observes and intervenes unsafe acts and conditions at the workplace
  • Conducts and reviews Risk Assessment pertinent to the specific work to be carried out
  • Ensures timely follow-up and close-out of any action items identified from safety walkthrough or incident investigation
  • Ensures that HSE is given equal priority to quality, production and costs
  • Enforcement of Safety, Health & Environment
  • Assists and supports the Assistant Manager (HSE Training) in ensuring smooth operation within the Section and ensure that HSE standard is maintained at all times
  • Conducts training needs analysis when applicable and to develop training materials and conduct in-house HSE trainings
  • Reviews training materials periodically and to create weekly and monthly briefing materials
  • Facilitates visits for clients and guests
  • Manages and administers HSE Inductions for new employee, contractor and other personnel entering the yard
  • Participates in HSE discussions relating to HSE Trainings
  • Ensures that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements as well as in-house HSE Management System
  • Travels overseas for work / assignment as and when necessary or requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department
  • Any other assigned duties and responsibilities when tasked by Section Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marine or safety industry
  • Preferably possess WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health
  • The incumbent should be dynamic, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented
  • Willing to work overtime and shift works according to project needs

(Islandwide transport provided)

Mon – Thurs: 8:00am – 5:15pm

Fri: 8:00am – 4:30pm
