Job summary

A leading safety consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety Health Officer to conduct site safety audits and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must have a degree in engineering or safety disciplines, at least 5 years of experience, and must be MOM registered. This is a long-term project based in Loyang, requiring independent work and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
• MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) is a must.
• ECO Registered with NEA is a must.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety audits and monitor close out of safety violations.
• Identify risks and hazards related to work activities.
• Review contractors’ method statements and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety audit inspections, monitor and drive contractors’ close out of safety violations
• Identify foreseeable risks and hazards in the worksite and in relation to the work activities and work sequence and assess suitability of contractors’ risk control measures.
• Review contractors’ method statement, risk assessment and safe work procedure and recommend and implement practicable measures and safe work procedures
• Facilitate Investigation processes and report to WSH Manager on all incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Liaise with main contractor representatives, subcontractor and relevant Authorities pertaining to safety matters
• Monitor follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance and close out inspection findings and observations.
• Ensure SMM implementation and compliance due to COVID-19 or any other pandemic outbreaks.
• Inculcate a safe working environment and promote positive safety culture and training.
• Relevant duties as and when assigned by reporting Manager

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health discipline
• Post Registration of Mom, minimum 5 years of experience as WSHO
• MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) is Must.
• ECO Registered with NEA is Must.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented and good team player
• Able to manage contractors and consultants
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Able to work independently with minimum guidance and meeting tight deadlines and report effectively to the WSH Manager
• Location -Loyang
• Project Duration - Long term Project (Minimum 2+ Years).
• Working days (Mon to Sat)- 6 days work - (8Am to 6Pm).
