About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager. This full-time role is based on Jurong Island and will be responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and environmental procedures across our operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Act as the leader on all SHE aspects, and provide SHE leadership and direction to the SHE departments and terminals.
  • Advise Management during crisis or emergency response including improving & maintaining all aspects of Crisis & Emergency Response Plans and response.
  • Ensure compliance to all statutory safety, health, environmental, and security requirements through updates, reviews and audits.
  • Oversee and manage the SHE risk management process through conducting risk assessments and reviews.
  • Ensure that all actions identified through these assessments and reviews are duly closed.
  • Ensure that the incident management & investigation process is implemented.
  • Manage the planned SHE audits and reviews.
  • Stakeholder Relationship & Management
    • Serve as the main point of contact with SHE-related government agencies and mutual aid companies for the organization.
    • Lead the terminals’ SHE departments to ensure high performance through mentoring and coaching.

What we're looking for

  • At least 15 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
  • A degree or equivalent certification in Engineering or Safety, Health, and Environment.
  • Experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry is essential.
  • Preferably holds WSH Level C or higher certification.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore's safety regulations and the ability to implement HSE standards and best practices. - Proven data analysis skills to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, operations, and product management.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
