About the role
We are seeking an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager. This full-time role is based on Jurong Island and will be responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and environmental procedures across our operations.
What you'll be doing
- Act as the leader on all SHE aspects, and provide SHE leadership and direction to the SHE departments and terminals.
- Advise Management during crisis or emergency response including improving & maintaining all aspects of Crisis & Emergency Response Plans and response.
- Ensure compliance to all statutory safety, health, environmental, and security requirements through updates, reviews and audits.
- Oversee and manage the SHE risk management process through conducting risk assessments and reviews.
- Ensure that all actions identified through these assessments and reviews are duly closed.
- Ensure that the incident management & investigation process is implemented.
- Manage the planned SHE audits and reviews.
- Stakeholder Relationship & Management
• Serve as the main point of contact with SHE-related government agencies and mutual aid companies for the organization.
• Lead the terminals’ SHE departments to ensure high performance through mentoring and coaching.
What we're looking for
- At least 15 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
- A degree or equivalent certification in Engineering or Safety, Health, and Environment.
- Experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry is essential.
- Preferably holds WSH Level C or higher certification.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's safety regulations and the ability to implement HSE standards and best practices. - Proven data analysis skills to identify improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of maintenance, operations, and product management.
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
