Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops, implements and maintains Project HSE Management Plan, Procedures, and programs in accordance with client and company requirements and industry best practices.

  2. Manages HSE professionals in different fabrication sites (Singapore, China, and Brazil).

  3. Prepares reports and shares executive summary of the performance for monthly review, quarterly operations review, and steering committees (Environment, Safety, and Health).

  4. Ensures timely submission of the weekly and monthly data for HSE Statistics to client and HSE Management.

  5. Coordinates and manages all the internal/external audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).

  6. Conducts regular risk assessments and job safety analysis to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures from different fabrication sites.

  7. Monitors compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and guidelines, ensuring that all employees are trained and aware of their responsibilities.

  8. Leads investigations of incidents and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  9. Collaborates with management and staff to promote a positive safety culture, ensuring that safety considerations are integrated into all business operations.

  10. Provides training and support to employees on HSE topics, including emergency response, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.

  11. Prepares and maintains HSE performance reports and metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.

  12. Coordinates and participates in HSE committees and initiatives, fostering teamwork and collaboration across departments.

  13. Keeps up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, ensuring the organization adapts to changes as necessary.

  14. Liaises with clients, project directors, and company management regarding HSE compliance and initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in Marine and Oil and Gas Industry.

  3. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.

  4. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

  5. Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety program development.

  6. Having experience as a Project HSE Manager in FPSO projects is advantageous.

  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.

  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.

  9. Professional certifications relevant in Marine Industry such as Assess Shipyard Safety for Hot-Work, Manage Work at Height, and WSQ Assess Confined Space for Safe Entry and Work (CSSA) are desirable.

  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management tools.
