About this opportunity
MMA has an exciting opportunity for a HSE Lead – Subsea to join our Subsea division. Reporting to the General Manager – Projects and Operations, you will maintain responsibility for leading and managing all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance within the Subsea business unit, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic HSE direction.

This is a full-time permanent position based in our Singapore office.

Some key responsibilities:

· Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems and processes within the Subsea business unit.

· Provide subject matter expertise, coaching and support to operational teams on all HSE matters.

· Work closely with the Subsea Project Managers and Commercial team, facilitating tender/project risk assessments to identify, assess and effectively manage HSE risks.

· Represent the Subsea division in client HSE engagements, audits and reviews.

· Adhoc onsite attendance to support key project operations, e.g. project mobilisations.

· Develop project specific HSE, Quality, and Emergency Response Plans, supporting both the commercial and operational Subsea teams.

· Review contractor HSE plans and procedures for subsea scopes.

· Monitor contractor performance through KPIs, audits, and reviews.

· Lead and support incident investigations and ensure incidents are entered into Unisea.

· Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics for the Subsea business unit.

· Coach Managers, Supervisors (onshore and offshore) and offshore personnel to embed safety leadership into decision making and operational leadership.

Essential Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent industry experience)

· ICAM (preferred) or equivalent incident investigation certification

Desirable Qualifications

· Postgraduate qualification in Risk Management or Safety

· Subsea specialist skill e.g. ROV, Survey, Engineering, Diving

· Current offshore medical and BOSIET/TBOSIET

· Demonstrated understanding of offshore HSE regulations (NOPSEMA, AMSA), including Safety Case requirements and application

· Ability to lead onshore and offshore teams and influence safe behaviours

· Deep understanding of subsea HSE risks and mitigation strategies

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with personnel of all working levels

· Undertake and manage decision-making in high-risk environments

· Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively
