Job description

Job Description:
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and implement safety and health measures at site
  • Conduct regular site inspections and follow up actions to ensure HSE compliance
  • Ensure each person working on site is registered in the site registry and carry out a site-specific induction for everyone
  • Investigate and report on any accidents that occur and take actions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Prepare Method Statements/Risk Assessments/Safe Work Procedure
  • Maintain project accident statistics
  • Handle all safety issues and routines at site
  • Liaise with all authorities on safety matters
  • Ensure firefighting and security equipment are maintained
  • Ensure compliance to the Company’s Code of Conduct and mandatory regulations
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health/Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marine shipyard operations
  • Good in writing business/technical reporting and presentation skills
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Good knowledge of Safety Regulations and Procedures
  • Paramedic in Arm Forces and SCDF, Healthcare of Industrial background would be an added advantage
