Job description

We are representing our client, a local christian based NGO to look for an HR team lead to complement the existing team.Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Team Lead will be responsible for leading and overseeing a dynamic HR team, ensuring the effective execution of HR processes, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the HR department. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions.Responsibilities

  • Lead, provide guidance and supervise the HR team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Participate in annual budgeting process and execution.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, providing guidance on conflict resolution and HR policies.
  • Initiate continuous improvements to internal HR processes, systems and communications, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to support performance appraisals, coaching, and feedback processes.
  • Identify employee training needs and ensure the team is driving initiatives for skills development, leadership training, and compliance Payroll Management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, driving change, and implementing HR initiatives.
  • Familiar with ECDA Partner Operator (C-POP) Scheme funding guidelines and submissions. Experience in the Early Childhood sector will be an added advantage.
  • Independent, possess good organisational skills and able to work within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPointapplications
