Job description

We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Specialist to join our team, focusing on expatriate management, mobility, compensation and strategic collaboration with key stakeholders within Singapore, Malaysia & India region.

What you'll be doing

1. Expatriate Management

  • Design, implement, and manage competitive expatriate compensation packages, including relocation allowances, housing, tax equalization, and international benefits

  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations, and immigration requirements for expatriates

  • Provide end-to-end support for expatriates, addressing assignment-related queries, cost-of-living adjustments, and repatriation processes

  • Conduct benchmarking analysis to align expatriate policies with industry standards and business needs together with HQ

2. Mobility Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end global mobility process, including international transfers, visa/work permit coordination, and relocation logistics

  • Partner with external vendors (relocation agencies, immigration advisors) to ensure seamless employee transitions

  • Monitor mobility program costs, identify efficiencies, and recommend process improvements

  • Develop communication materials to guide employees and managers through mobility procedures

3. Compensation

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to maintain competitive compensation structures with 3rd party consultancy (e.g., Mercer, Towers Watsons)

  • Participate in market trend and spot surveys

  • Analyze, develop and alignment to market data and internal equity to maintain equitable and competitive compensation practices

  • Manage the annual review process for salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentives

  • Partner with HQ on projects to align with company policies and compliance with statutory regulations

4. Manpower Planning and Budget Management

  • Administer and facilitate the annual manpower planning and budgeting process across business units and HQ

  • Monitor and manage the HR budget

5. Collaboration with Government

  • Collaboration with the Government agencies

  • Stay updated on Government policies and leverage programs to optimize workforce mobility and talent attraction strategies

6. Management Reports

  • Generate accurate and insightful reports on Overtime hours and C&B metrics

  • Analyze data to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures for management

  • Maintain dashboards using HRIS tools (e.g., Workday) to track key performance indicators

7. Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Support HR projects such as system implementations, policy reviews, and audits

  • Address urgent business needs, including regulatory changes or crisis management for international assignees

  • Collaborate with internal and external Legal team for special cases/projects

  • Backup for Payroll and Benefits administration

  • Support HR Operations

  • Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Studies or equivalent

  • At least 5 to 8 years in compensation and benefits with a focus on expatriate and mobility management

  • Certification in Global Remuneration (e.g., GRP, GPHR) is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of international tax regulations, social security systems and immigration laws

  • Experience in collaborating with government agencies (e.g., EDB) and managing vendor relationships

  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS (Workday), Excel, and data visualization tools

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data sets and provide actionable insights

  • High integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information and/or projects

  • Strong communication and good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees of all levels

  • Meticulous, organized and resourceful team player with a strong sense of urgency

  • Ability to manage demanding workload and ‘hands-on”

  • Flexible and self-motivated with ability to work independently
