Job description

As the HR Operations Lead, APAC at Quaker Houghton, you will be responsible for leading a team of HR Operations Specialists dedicated to ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience throughout the organization. Your role involves partnering with various HR and functional teams to support transformative initiatives focused on enhancing global HR workflows and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and international team where your contributions will make a meaningful impact.

Your key responsibilities will include managing a team of two HR Operations Specialists in the APAC region, aligning their priorities with business strategy, overseeing day-to-day activities, providing coaching, and managing individual performance and development. Additionally, you will coordinate and allocate work, ensure efficiency and quality assurance, and drive continuous improvement projects.

You will lead and oversee all HR operational processes related to the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations. Regular data audits, quality checks, and participation in audits will be part of your responsibilities. Collaborating with HR Business Partners, you will recommend, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with internal guidelines and statutory requirements.

In this role, you will drive operational excellence throughout the employee lifecycle by streamlining processes, harmonizing workflows, and leading change management initiatives. Effective communication with Global HR Operations and stakeholder groups will be essential to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions. You will also liaise with internal departments to coordinate workflows and ensure timely completion of internal procedures.

To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in an HR/People Operations role in a multinational environment. Strong leadership skills, team management experience, and a solid understanding of employment law requirements in the Asia Pacific region are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Workday HCM are required, and a high level of English proficiency is a must, with additional languages considered a plus.

The position is based in India with flexibility in locations such as Kolkata, Pune, or Bangalore.
