Job description

Job Scope

You will play a key role in supporting the organization's Human Resource functions. The role involves reviewing and implementing HR initiatives, policies, and guidelines across various domains such as Career Development, Talent Management, Performance Management, Awards and Recognition, and general personnel matters. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the rationale behind policy changes and adapting guidelines and initiatives to support the effective management and development of staff.

  • Monitoring staff attendance and the completion of mandatory courses, as these impact deployment and career progression.

  • Identifying and recommending relevant training and development programmes for staff career advancement.

  • Managing and tracking the utilization of training funds.

  • Coordinating and tracking enrolment in first aid courses.

  • Providing secretariat support for HR-related meetings and ranking sessions.

  • Offering professional HR advice to staff on various matters.

  • Assisting in procurement-related tasks, including sourcing for service awards and recognition items.

  • Processing staff identification card applications and handling their issuance or destruction.

  • Managing matters related to skill-based allowances, leave administration, and staff identification cards.

Requirements

  • Min. Degree in any field

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well

  • Possess strong analytical skills and prepared to work hands-on with HR functions/ systems;

  • Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision;

  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Good time management to ensure timely submissions;

  • Resilient in handling multitude of tasks within tight deadlines;

  • Prior knowledge in HR is an advantage; and Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) would be an advantage.
