Position: HR Officer

Location: Geylang Bahru

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours

Monthly Salary: up to $4,500 per month

Contract Type: Full-Time, 1 Year Contract

About the Role

Our client plays a critical role in maintaining safety and security, with a mission to prevent, deter, and detect crime. The Specialist & Line Units undertake frontline policing, investigation, community engagement, public security and order, and deliver essential public services.

As a HR Officer in the Manpower Branch, you will be key in providing HR support and solutions to ensure the smooth functioning of the Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage disciplinary matters, including creating and updating disciplinary records

  • Handle administrative tasks related to alert systems and notifications

  • Streamline HR processes through digitalisation initiatives

  • Coordinate training for full-time and reservist personnel

  • Manage leave administration and service injury cases

  • Coordinate award nominations and organize related events

  • Support 360-degree feedback exercises for frontline supervisors and middle managers

  • Implement wellness initiatives focused on officer wellbeing

  • Manage workflow related to rostering and manpower systems

  • Lead and contribute to HR improvement projects

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Head of Manpower

Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in any field

  • Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach to HR functions and systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable coordinating tasks and managing projects to completion

  • Meticulous, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to manage deadlines

  • Prior HR knowledge is an advantage

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with SAP is a plus
