Job description

What the role is:

We are looking for a HR Manager (temp) to support the HR Division in data analytics, reporting, and operational matters. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and prior HR experience. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of HR, including data analytics, reporting, engagement, and operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly adapt to existing processes and contribute meaningfully to ongoing initiatives.

What you will be working on:

Key responsibilities include:

  • HR Analytics and Reporting- Extract and tabulate staff statistics from the HR system for analysis and reporting purposes
  • Support the development of workforce planning metrics and analysis for reporting purposes
  • Maintain and update Tableau dashboards for HR metrics, covering areas from attraction and workforce planning to development and exit
  • Collate and report on findings from HR-related surveys
  • Support digitisation and archival of staff records
  • Assist with HR system data clean-up (e.g., validation of staff records)
  • Engagement and Outreach- Support planning and execution of HR activities/initiatives, when needed (e.g. training workshops)
  • Design publicity materials for HR related initiatives
  • Support the revamp of HR365 intranet site
  • Arrange 1-on-1 chats with D/HRD
  • Arrange coaching sessions for new hires
  • Other Administrative tasks- Support in arranging audit meetings and collation of information
  • Support in streamlining the half yearly claims and leave audit reporting
  • Process university billings for pre-service scholars and salary invoices for seconded-in officers

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret HR data to generate actionable insights
  • Forecasting and Modelling: Experience with predictive modelling, forecasting workforce trends, and developing data driven HR strategies
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with coding (e.g., Python, R, or SQL) for data analysis and automation
  • HR Knowledge: Understanding of HR processes, policies, and best practices
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry, reporting, and processing
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with stakeholders across various levels
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday), Microsoft Office suite, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: Strong commitment to professional integrity and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive HR information
