Job summary

A leading HR recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced HR professional specializing in strategy and transformation, talent acquisition, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in the Maritime and Shipping industry, and will be responsible for developing competitive compensation frameworks and ensuring compliance with local laws. Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Transformation

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and Sub-HQ responsibilities.
  • Drive HR transformation initiatives, including digitalisation, policy enhancement, and process optimisation to strengthen organisational agility, compliance, and competitiveness, while leading continuous improvement in HR systems and workforce planning.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for key positions, partnering with business leaders to anticipate workforce needs and attract top talent. Design, coordinate, and facilitate learning programs that support employee development, performance management, and workplace effectiveness.
  • Drive training and succession planning initiatives to strengthen organisational capability and future readiness.
  • Collaborate with group companies and external partners on scholarship and sponsorship programs to nurture emerging talent and build a strong future workforce pipeline.

Performance Management

  • Lead the full performance management cycle from goal setting and appraisal to calibration and feedback, while developing, refining, and implementing effective appraisal frameworks that drive high performance and talent growth.
  • Continuously review processes to ensure they support organisational objectives, encourage accountability, and promote a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop and maintain competitive compensation and benefits frameworks through market benchmarking, ensuring reward structures that attract, motivate, and retain talent in alignment with business and performance outcomes.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary, and workplace matters in accordance with company policies and regulations, while leading engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives that build inclusion, motivation, and a positive organisational culture, serving as a trusted advisor to both management and employees.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee HR operations including benefits administration, HRIS management, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with Singapore employment laws and statutory requirements (MOM, IRAS, CPF), while leveraging HR analytics to support data-driven decision-making and regional compliance initiatives.

Stakeholder Management & Regional HR Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders and HR teams in Singapore and across the Southeast Asia & Oceania (SEAO) region, aligning HR strategies and workforce priorities with direction and business objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional HR counterparts to integrate and align HR policies and practices, strengthen cross-border workforce planning, and drive consistent approaches in talent development, performance, and engagement across all entities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities and regional exposure.
  • Proven track record in handling Full Spectrum of HR operations including Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Employee Engagement.
  • Experience in the Maritime and Shipping industry preferred/will be an advantage.
