About the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to join Mooreast Asia Pte Ltd. This full-time role is based at our office in the Shipyard West Region and will play a critical part in supporting our growing business and reporting to Head of HR, Executive Director. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. Job description
Payroll & Compensation and Benefits
- Perform payroll processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement of salaries for Singapore, Europe, UK, and Malaysia.
- Collaborate closely with respective Business units' heads to process yearly merit increments and appraisal processes.
- Plan and execute bonus payouts as per guidelines and budget.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and CPF regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend employee benefits to enhance engagement and retention.
HR Policies & Compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and promote a positive, productive work environment.
- Provide strategic HR advice and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters.
- Collaborate closely with respective Business units' heads to manage employee-related topics including disciplinary actions, resolving conduct issues/conflicts, and grievances resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and HR industry trends to inform continuous improvement.
HR Operations, Administration & Training
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity.
- Maintain and process insurance policies with business partners ensuring risk mitigation and compliance.
- Work closely with Business Units' heads to support workforce planning and organizational development.
- Manage local and foreign migrant employment matters (application, renewal, repatriation, tax matters, etc.).
- Understand the internal and external stakeholders' needs and expectations and derive value-added solutions to close any gaps and support sustainable business growth.
- Work closely with IT support on onboarding and offboarding processes.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full HR lifecycle, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and termination processes.
- Partner with the leadership team to identify and address workforce needs, skills gaps, and talent management initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement and wellbeing programmes to foster a positive, collaborative company culture.
- Conduct training needs analysis and collaborate with respective Business units' heads on employees' training for skill and career development.
Others
- Be part of the ISO team to participate, manage, and develop policies and procedures to support the company's strategic aims and objectives.
- Promote and ensure adherence to safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management where required.
- Be a team player to assist in company events.
Job requirement
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment in the Marine industry.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of different benefits plans (medical, WICA, and insurance) and regulations related to benefits administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
- Proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in HR information systems and data analysis, able to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification will be advantageous.
