We’re committed to closing the digital skills gap by helping learners — from professionals to mid-career switchers — gain job-ready capabilities through industry-relevant training. Designed for immediate application, our courses are taught by expert practitioners and include real-world scenarios to ensure every graduate is prepared to thrive in the workforce.

To date, tens of thousands of learners have upskilled with Vertical Institute. As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) under SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF), we are trusted by both individuals and companies seeking cutting-edge, accredited education.

Why this role matters
  • Build the engine for rapid growth. Own and continuously improve our talent acquisition processes, enabling us to hire at scale without sacrificing quality.

  • Champion a high-performance culture. Refine our performance framework, compensation structures, and career paths so every team member knows how to win.

  • Ensure people-first compliance. Keep us 100% compliant with Singapore employment law while preserving a world-class remote-work experience.

What you’ll do
  1. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

    • Drive full-cycle recruiting for all departments; iterate the talent acquisition processes to keep pipelines full and time-to-hire low.

    • Lead employer-branding initiatives (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, social) that attract mission-aligned talent.

  2. People Operations & HR Strategy

    • Own HRIS, payroll, benefits, and leave administration; automate and streamline processes wherever possible.

    • Develop and enforce work policies.

    • Produce a quarterly HR dashboard covering hiring metrics, retention, diversity, and engagement.

  3. Performance & Rewards

    • Roll out and maintain our company-wide performance scorecard

    • Design competitive compensation, commission, and incentive frameworks that scale.

  4. Learning, Development & Culture

    • Coordinate onboarding that ramps new hires to productivity within two weeks.

    • Curate continuous-learning programmes aligned with our mission and values.

    • Drive a positive work culture.

  5. Compliance & Risk Management

    • Maintain up-to-date employment contracts, freelance agreements, and HR policies.

    • Advise leadership on MOM, CPF, IRAS regulation changes.

What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience; 2+ years in a lead or managerial role, ideally in a fast-scaling SME or startup.

  • Proven success recruiting at volume and speed (sales-team experience a plus).

  • Deep working knowledge of Singapore employment law

  • Strong analytical skills — you make decisions with data, dashboards, and first-principles thinking.

  • Systems builder who loves SOPs, playbooks, and tech

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to the CEO and wider team.

  • Passion for continuous learning and a genuine belief in upskilling professionals through courses.

What you’ll enjoy
  • Hybrid-work flexibility.

  • Competitive salary + performance bonus tied to company growth.

  • Fast-track career growth: you’ll shape the people function of a company poised scale quick.

  • Open, high-trust culture that values initiative, accountability, and customer-centricity.
