Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the development and implementation of training programs, identify training needs, and ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Partner with departments to identify and address competency gaps, developing short-term and long-term training & development interventions.
- Implement targeted training initiatives to improve work culture, technical skills, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Foster continuous training and development opportunities for employees to stay current with industry trends and career advancements.
- Optimize systems and improve Training and Development (T&D) processes.
- Design, develop, and implement T&D strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and implement an operation/technical skill framework.
- Work closely with line managers to identify training and development needs and key skills required.
- Plan and conduct site Training Needs Analysis and formulate a Training Plan.
- Plan and conduct site technical skills competency assessments and formulate relevant training with business leaders.
- Create a learning course to track skills and competencies attainment.
- Customize training materials to meet the specific needs of the company and respective department objectives.
- Create and update training manuals, e-learning modules, and other instructional materials.
- Manage, administrate, coordinate, and conduct both internal and external training.
- Provide T&D-related methodologies advice to key stakeholders.
- Manage the T&D budget.
- Work with relevant Singapore government agencies like WSG, SBF, and e2i to maximize funding for training and development activities.
- Continuously evaluate training processes for efficiency and effectiveness, making improvements as necessary.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Track employee progress and development, providing reports to senior management on training outcomes.
- Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations, certification, and company policies.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Min 3 years of T&D experience and/or HR professional handling T&D or organization development tasks across different levels of employees in a manufacturing plant.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry can be particularly valuable.
- This role requires someone hands-on, actively involved in the training process, with practical experience and the ability to directly engage with employees during training sessions.
- Experience in planning, designing, deploying, facilitating, and conducting training.
- People-oriented and able to interact well with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills.
