HR Executive (Generalist) - Immediate
Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including onboarding and offboarding, overtime, allowances, deductions, leave benefits, and staff claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions, CPF contributions, and IR8A filings.
- Prepare income tax clearance (IR21) for foreign employees holding work passes.
- Generate payroll reports, support billing processes, and assist in audit preparations.
- Recommend and implement payroll process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle government-related surveys and statutory submissions related to payroll and compensation.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related matters, particularly for front-line retail employees.
- Address employee concerns, support conflict resolution, and promote a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular store visits to engage staff and ensure adherence to HR policies.
- Support performance-related matters including coaching, feedback sessions, and disciplinary actions.
- Drive employee engagement activities to foster a collaborative and motivated workplace culture.
- Communicate and reinforce HR policies, SOPs, and best practices consistently across the team.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Handle the full recruitment cycle, from job advertisement and candidate sourcing to interviews and offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and define job requirements.
- Manage external partnerships with job portals and recruitment vendors.
- Conduct candidate evaluations and reference checks to ensure quality hires.
Compensation & Benefits
- Prepare salary proposals and offer recommendations for new hires.
- Ensure compliance with union requirements and Collective Agreements (CA) where applicable.
- Administer medical and insurance benefits, including staff registration, claims, and provider liaison.
- Handle HR documentation including employment letters and maintain updated records in HRIS.
General HR Administration
- Manage work pass applications, renewals, cancellations, and repatriation arrangements.
- Contribute to HR projects and company-wide initiatives as assigned.
- Support any additional HR duties required to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a generalist HR role.
- Well-versed in Singapore payroll processes and employment legislation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
