Job description
Job responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the hiring and onboarding processes for Direct Labor, Material Handlers, and contract recruitment, actively participating in interviews and facilitating the selection of qualified candidates for open positions. Coordinate pre-onboarding activities and deliver an effective new hire orientation program to ensure a seamless integration into the company.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure timely application for and renewal of work passes to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. Track and monitor staff confirmation due dates, ensuring all milestones are met within the required timelines. Manage routine and confidential employment-related transactions, including data entry for new hires and any changes to existing employee records.
Employee Programs & Management: Administer and execute human resource programs, including disciplinary actions, performance and talent management, as well as employee recognition initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture. Oversee the planning, content creation, and publication of the bi-monthly e-newsletter, ensuring that internal communication is informative and engaging.
Legal Compliance & Policies: Ensure strict compliance with local employment laws and regulations, proactively suggesting updates or modifications to maintain alignment with best practices and legal standards. Assist in implementing and enforcing company HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
Employee Relations: Respond promptly to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, effectively escalating complex or sensitive matters as necessary.
Training & Development: Manage the coordination of employee training and development programs, handling scheduling, logistics, tracking participation, and maintaining accurate training records to support employee growth.
Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements, offering recommendations that enhance efficiency, quality, and overall customer satisfaction.
Job requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with at least 5 years of HR experience and IHRP-CA/CP certification.
Proven HR experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Solid knowledge of the Employment Act and other Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the workforce.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to handle sensitive personnel information with discretion and independent judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in Canva.
