Job description

1. Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Hiring Security Personnel: Identify, screen, and hire security officers, supervisors, and other security-related staff. This often involves background checks and assessing qualifications like certifications, training, and experience.
  • Job Descriptions & Advertisements: Create accurate job descriptions and post openings through various channels, such as job boards, security industry associations, or specialized recruitment firms.
  • Onboarding: Ensure new hires are properly onboarded with all necessary training and documentation.
2. Training and Development:
  • Certifications & Compliance: Oversee training programs to ensure that security staff meet industry standards, such as basic security officer training, first aid, CPR, or specific security-related certifications (e.g., armed guard licenses).
  • Continual Professional Development: Organize regular training sessions for ongoing development, including refresher courses on company policies, emergency protocols, and security procedures.
3. Employee Relations:
  • Conflict Resolution: Address issues related to workplace behavior, grievances, and disputes among security staff or between security personnel and clients.
  • Maintaining a Positive Work Environment: Foster a positive and professional working environment through effective communication, recognition programs, and addressing any employee concerns.
4. Compliance and Legal Requirements:
  • Labor Laws: Ensure that security personnel are working within the confines of labor laws and regulations, including work hours, wages, and overtime.
  • Security Clearances: Depending on the nature of the agency’s work, HR may be involved in managing security clearance processes for personnel.
  • Health and Safety: Implement safety measures and ensure that staff comply with safety regulations, especially in high-risk environments like large events or sensitive facilities.
5. Payroll and Benefits Administration:
  • Compensation Management: Administer payroll systems, manage wage structures, and ensure compliance with union agreements (if applicable).
  • Employee Benefits: Coordinate benefits packages, such as healthcare, pensions, and bonuses, ensuring employees are fully aware of their options and entitlements.
6. Performance Management:

8. Employee Retention and Engagement:
