The HR Director will provide HR partnership and leadership to multiple businesses and functions. This leadership role sits within the APAC HR leadership team and focuses on developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with business objectives. The HR Director will contribute to talent development, coaching, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and more. A data-driven and solution-oriented approach, with a growth-oriented mindset, is crucial. As a role model for the team, living the Danaher values, the HR Director is expected to contribute beyond the success of the country team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Functions as a business partner with business leaders, Global HR Strategic Business Partners to support critical business and organizational strategies, specifically focused on-site creation phasing, ie. functional standup, site buildout and the establishment and multi-year growth plan and strategy.
- Supports the establishment and sustainment of talent management programs and processes including Performance Review and Development, Acquisition of early talent, and Diversity and Inclusion; to support site-wide Human Resources training programs.
- Supports planning for the recruitment and hiring of a superior workforce through collaboration with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers on innovative sourcing strategies.
- Collaborates with leaders and managers to build and support employee engagement strategies that facilitate organizational performance and enable successful organizational change; Coaches and trains managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them facilitating effective communication channels between leaders and associates.
- Leads HR Site events and programs designed to increase employee engagement. Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation; Designs a strategy for the annual Engagement Survey, quarterly Town Halls, and periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement.
- Partners with process owners to explore opportunities to optimize activities utilizing continuous improvement processes (Transactional Process Improvement, Problem Solving Process, Value Stream Mapping, etc.). Acts as a change leader for improvements.
- Ensures company policies are communicated clearly and administered in compliance with all labour laws and reporting requirements. Supports company compliance with all existing governmental and labour legal and government reporting requirements.
Partner With Business/Country Leaders:
- Guide talent and career development, succession planning, and organization talent assessments.
- Champion company values and culture to drive engagement, retention, effective communication, and trust.
- Provide training and coaching to enable managers in all aspects of people leadership.
- Support people-related aspects of business goals, initiatives, and strategies.
- Consult on legal, employment casework, compliance-related activities, and investigations.
- Track and analyze HR-related KPIs to drive engagement and development.
With Associates:
- Understand associate needs and drive initiatives to increase engagement and retention.
- Support and deliver programs and processes aligned with strategic HR priorities.
- Facilitate successful engagement through new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Coordinate and deliver on-site associate learning programs.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or equivalent
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the Human Resources area (including 5+ years leading an HR team)
- Employee Relations & Policies Management experience with blue-collar workers (Manufacturing related)
- Experience in engaging regional and global stakeholders in a matrix organization
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Working experience in a manufacturing site.
- Semiconductor, Manufacturing, and FMCG industries.
