Job description

We are looking for a HR Communications & Engagement Executive who is high-energy, people oriented with effective communication skills, resourceful, creative and able to work in a fast paced environment. Be able to support the development and production of content assets for internal marketing and communication activities. The foundation is being able to understand the communication needs of our employee audience, and turn them into ideas, designs, concepts and communication plans to support employee communications and activities to strengthen the Maybank community.

As part of the Learning & Development team, you will also coordinate and support all employee engagement plans and initiatives to deliver the organisation’s objective. This position reports to Head, Organisational Learning & Talent Management and interfaces with line managers and employees across the group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Craft compelling and impactful content for our internal employee communication channels, such as our Human Capital’s (HC) intranet, internal social media channel and email broadcast to amplify on our HC policies and strategies.
  • Copywriting, drafting articles or training content for internal and external purposes, with a focus on HC policies. Your ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner will be crucial.
  • Create marketing and internal communication material to support the communication and adoption of learning related / work-life initiatives across the organisations. Your creativity and dedication will help us effectively engage our audience.
  • Effectively organise and present campaign information, timing and priorities, etc to ensure successful execution of campaigns/events.
  • Support the team in administrative duties and event organisation. Attention to details and organizational skills will be highly valuable.
  • Meticulous, assertive with good organizational skills. Enjoys working in a fast paced environment
  • Initiate and drive work-life initiatives for the organisation
  • Support, facilitate and implement employee engagements initiatives such as Townhalls, brown-bag sessions
  • Assist in ad-hoc tasks / projects as requested

Requirements:

  • Degree in any discipline. Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in large corporates
  • Excellent communicator – in both verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
  • Video/visual production knowledge (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc), content marketing skills and an agile learning mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present to large audiences
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-driven to handle the function independently and requires minimum supervision
  • Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills
  • A keen learner, organized, possess good administrative, project management capabilities
  • Enjoys working in teams, confident in engaging and building relationship with stakeholders
