Job Description

We are looking for a HR Partner to join our team of HR Business Partners that supports a group of Research Centres and Institutes at CLS/MD6, as well as Faculties/Schools under the CLS/MD6 Cluster's care. You will partner and support the business line heads and managers to handle a full spectrum of HR functions which includes talent acquisition, staff retention, compensation, performance appraisals, as well as talent management and development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities would include the following:
• Collaborate with academic leaders, function heads, and line managers to provide expert HR advisory services.
• Manage the recruitment, appointment and re-appointment of Principal Investigators, Research, Academic, Executive and Administrative staff.
• Oversee and drive staff programmes, processes, and initiatives such as promotions, tenure reviews, mid-term advisory reports, academic awards, and consultation work policies.
• Facilitate annual performance reviews and compensation process for staff.
• Address complex employee relations matters and resolve disciplinary issues.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• University Degree with at least 5 years' experience as a HR Business Partner or equivalent role.
• Good knowledge of the Employment Act, Labour Laws and Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.
• High IT literacy and excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong people management capabilities.
• Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to upholding professional integrity.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and a "can-do" mindset.
• A collaborative team player who considers the interests of the team and the University.
• Meticulous and have good organizational skills
