Job description

As the Lead/Head of a team of HR Business Partners, you are expected to lead and coach the team in the delivery of HR services and initiatives. Your main commitments are, but not limited to:

  1. Partner and engage academic leaders, the business line heads and managers in a proactive and consultative approach to manage the full spectrum of HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Staff Retention, Compensation and Performance Appraisals, as well as Talent Management and Development.
  2. Oversee and/or manage staff programmes, processes and/or initiatives such as promotion and tenure, mid-term advisory report, awards, succession planning, etc. where applicable.
  3. Build relationship as a trusted HR advisor with senior stakeholders and managers in the business units.
  4. Partner the Centres of Excellence (COE) in reviewing, developing, implementing and administering the rewards and benefits programmes of the University.
  5. Provide expert advice, manage complex employee relations issues, and address disciplinary matters.
  6. Oversee the team as contact point for employee relations issues, provide accurate assessment of situations and provide HR advice to business units.
  7. Lead the team in the planning and implementation of HR programmes and continuous improvement projects.
  8. Lead process review projects and participate in improvement projects.
