Job Description

We are seeking a HR Business Partner to join the HR team supporting the E3/E3A/TLab Cluster of research institutes at NUS, which includes:

  • Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI)
  • Mechanobiology Institute (MBI)
  • NUS Environmental Research Institute (NERI)
  • Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS)
  • Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Initiative (SNRSI)
  • Temasek Laboratories

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with research institute heads/managers to manage HR functions proactively and consultatively, including talent acquisition, performance management, and talent development.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes effectively.
  • Assist in implementing new policies and benefits programs, ensuring timely communication and administration.
  • Serve as the contact for employee relations issues, assess situations, and provide advice to business units.
  • Handle daily operational tasks to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Make decisions within your areas of responsibility.
  • Propose process improvements and implement plans accordingly.
  • Participate in process review projects and other assigned initiatives.
Qualifications
  • At least 4-5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • University degree, preferably with additional HR management qualifications.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrable business and HR acumen with the ability to drive HR solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to multitask with clear follow-through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong analytical skills.
  • Resourceful, self-driven, and maintaining high professional integrity.
  • Experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Good knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Team-player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
