Job description

The Team

We are an award winning global consultancy and have been named Building’s Engineering Consultant of the Year in 2024, 2022 and 2021. We are at the forefront of the industry, priding ourselves on our exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable projects.

Sustainability runs through everything we do at Cundall, and our people are empowered to drive change and decarbonise the built environment. By the end of this decade, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to only work on projects that meet our zero carbon design criteria, a commitment we have called our Zero Carbon Design 2030 goal. We need engineers who share this passion for sustainability and thrive in designing energy efficient buildings and communities.

Cundall’s HR team provide exceptional people support to our highly skilled engineering and support staff all around the world. Due to our ongoing growth we are seeking an experienced and credible HR professional to lead the service in our APAC region and to be based in either Singapore/Hong Kong/Australia.

Cundall is a values-driven and people-focused organisation and our business strategy has a strong emphasis on our people and culture, so it is a great time to join Cundall in HR as we develop our future People Strategy.

Cundall are leading the way in the provision of creative, sustainable design solutions, and in order to keep up with the growing demands of the organisation, require a passionate, collaborative, and dedicated HR Business Partner to lead on people-related policy and practices and partner with the business leaders.

The Role

As a valued member of our global HR team, and our main source of human resources expertise for our offices across APAC, not only will you contribute strategically, but you will also be customer focussed, provide comprehensive and pragmatic best practice human resources advice and support.

Working closely with both the leaders in APAC and our teams of highly skilled engineers and technicians you will partner with business leaders to ensure proactive, effective people management and the development of high performing, motivated teams.

This means implementing policy and refining existing practices, and working with our DEI, L&D and Resourcing teams to ensure that all are delivered to a high standard, with consistency and are locally relevant.

The Skills

You will want to join our team if you are interested in shaping the HR provision of a global organisation that has a local feel and socially responsible outlook.

You will hold a relevant HR-related qualification and have previous experience of providing comprehensive advice and support on employee relations issues (disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance management, redundancy, flexible working, maternity leave etc.).

This role could be for you if you enjoy providing a truly excellent people-focused service, and are seeking a unique challenge that can offer you the opportunity to play a central role in developing a high performing, highly motivated and collaborative workforce.

You will be happy to work independently and to manage your workload accordingly, while taking a proactive approach to collaborating with the wider HR team to ensure the delivery of an exceptional service that meets with Cundall’s global standards.

Experience within the construction/built environment or professional services sectors is desirable.

We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture. Creating environments where everyone can find joy doing their best work is also great for everyone. That’s why we positively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities, and encourage, support, and celebrate the diverse voices of our people.
