Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES in Singapore is seeking an HPC Training Specialist to design and deliver tailored training for the national HPC community. You will organize hands-on workshops, teach job submission, parallel programming, and system utilization to researchers across domains.

You will help build an education framework with international partners and drive outreach to expand the HPC user base while providing proactive user support and guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science, education, engineering, or relevant area.
• Ideally 3+ years of experience in technical training, HPC user support, or scientific research.
• Solid understanding of Linux environments, job schedulers, and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with HPC software stacks and parallel programming concepts (MPI/OpenMP/CUDA).

Responsibilities

• Curriculum design in collaboration with engineers and domain specialists.
• Organize and conduct hands-on HPC workshops and best practices.
• Develop an internationally recognized HPC education framework.
• Lead outreach activities to raise HPC awareness in Singapore.
• Provide frontline HPC user support and develop self-help resources.
• Assist in analysing user proficiency gaps to refine training strategies.
