Job summary

The Singapore-ETH Centre in Singapore seeks full-time engineers/researchers to build and scale the AIS Instrumentation Gym. You will manage the HPC backbone, enable secure data flows between NUS, NTU, NSCC and CSCS, and implement tiered data retention to balance speed and reproducibility for AI4S workloads.

Responsibilities include IaC provisioning, OpenCHAMI and Kubernetes administration, and supporting multi-tenant vClusters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Ansible configurations and IaC tools.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenCHAMI.
• Experience with secure multi-site data transfer and HPC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage the HPC backbone for the AIS Instrumentation Gym as an end-to-end research platform.
• Implement secure data mobility protocols between distributed sites (NUS, NTU, NSCC, CSCS).
• Define data retention policies with tiered storage for training vs archival.
• Develop workflows for federated reproducibility across HPC locations.
• Provide IaC-based provisioning using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Install and manage OpenCHAMI and Kubernetes in multi-tenant environments.
• Operate multi-tenant vClusters and dynamic vService creation.
