DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFINANCIAL RETURNS:
Recycles where-ever possible and enforces cost saving measures to staff
PEOPLE:
Liaise with Housekeeping Supervisor in relation to problems or rectification suggestions
Contribute to Housekeeping Departmental Meetings
GUEST EXPERIENCE:
Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner
Attend and deliver to hotel guests requests
Attend to all guest requests within the stipulated time and standard of the hotel
Ensure proper recording of daily guest loan items list & runner job list
Ensure that the linens and pantry are stocked up
Handle guest laundry pick-up and delivery requests efficiently
Manage uniform inventory
Perform uniform count before sending out for washing and recount after receiving back from laundry company
Assist all assigned duties in Housekeeping
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:
Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
Under the general direction of the Housekeeping Manager and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels Group brand and hotel’s policies and procedures, responsible for cleaning and maintain the cleanliness of the public area. You will also help to create a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSHigh School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping or equivalent, with 1 year’s experience in guest/customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. Able to read and write English.
