Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on HGP Repair Engineer for a 1-year contract in Singapore. The role involves developing and standardising repairs for turbine hot gas path components within a dedicated repair development centre.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Materials Engineering with around 5 years in manufacturing or repair settings, and with gas turbine repair experience. Company transport provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering required.
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing, services, repair or design environment.
• Gas turbine / hot section component repair experience (e.g. blades, vanes, combustion parts).

Responsibilities

• Develop, drive and industrialise new fleet and HGP repair process technologies for the service network and repair strategy
• Lead projects that directly improve productivity and fulfilment
• Work with repair development and service centre engineers to test repair processes in the lab or on the shop floor
• Establish and maintain inspection criteria for advanced gas turbine components
• Substantiate service centres' repair process qualifications and certifications
• Interface with Materials and Design engineering, and lead design reviews for repair development
• Work with the repair value stream teams to create standardised HGP repairs for contractual and transactional services
• Improve quality, delivery and cost within the team's scope
• Implement lean methods, including standard work, standard product and kaizen

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering

5 years of experience in manufacturing, services, repair or design environment

Company brief: Our client is a global energy technology company. This role sits in its gas turbine repair and services centre in Singapore.

About the role

Join the advanced manufacturing and repair team as a hands-on engineer in a dedicated Repair Development Centre. The centre is a full-scale lab with conventional and non-conventional machining, brazing and welding, inspection, thermal spray and robotics. You'll develop and standardise repairs for turbine rotating and static hot gas path components.
