Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD seeks an electrical engineer with 2–3 years of experience to contribute to design review, construction oversight, and commissioning on major hospital building projects in Singapore.

You will verify drawings against clinical requirements and codes, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and help ensure compliant, reliable electrical systems from design through handover.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in design, construction, or commissioning of electrical systems in major building projects.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and submissions to verify compliance with clinical requirements, Singapore building codes, and international healthcare standards.
• Identify technical gaps or discrepancies in design submissions and work with consultants to resolve them before works proceed on site.
• Ensure all electrical systems – including LV/HV distribution, emergency power, UPS, lighting, and building management systems – are designed to meet the operational requirements of a high-acuity hospital environment.
• Attend site inspections and technical meetings to monitor the installation of electrical systems against approved drawings and specifications.
• Review and assess RFIs, site queries, and variation orders relating to electrical works, providing timely technical responses to keep the programme on track.
• Coordinate with the mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to resolve cross-discipline clashes and ensure integrated systems deliver.
• Support the testing and commissioning of all electrical systems, ensuring that performance meets design intent and clinical operational requirements.
• Review commissioning reports, inspection records, and test results, identifying deficiencies and ensuring rectification before practical completion.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical submissions, approvals, test results, and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including BCA, EMA, SCDF, and MOH licensing standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
