Job summary

EVYONIC SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Enterprise Storage Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex storage infrastructure using Hitachi VSP/AMS/HUS and Gx00 series.

The role involves SAN fabric management with Brocade switches, and robust data protection through ShadowImage and Global Active Device. You will optimize performance, plan capacity, and troubleshoot across VMware, AIX, Windows, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience.
• Experience with Hitachi storage architecture and platforms (VSP, AMS, HUS, Gx00).
• Hands-on experience in storage replication, ShadowImage, synchronous/asynchronous remote replication, and Global Active Device.
• Strong experience in Brocade SAN switch and fabric administration (zoning, ISL, trunking, fabric integration).
• Experience using Hitachi storage management tools (HCS, HTnM, HDLM).
• Experience in storage performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with VMware, AIX, Windows, and Linux; basic scripting; incident and change management.
• Experience managing storage projects from sizing to rollout; project management preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure using Hitachi VSP, HUS, AMS, and Gx00 series platforms.
• Configure and manage Brocade SAN switches, including fabric zoning, ISL connectivity, trunking, and fabric merging.
• Administer storage replication and data protection features, including ShadowImage, snapshots, synchronous/asynchronous replication, and Global Active Device.
• Monitor storage performance, conduct capacity assessments, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to maintain system reliability.
• Utilize Hitachi management tools such as HCS, HTnM, and HDLM for storage monitoring and administration.
• Handle storage infrastructure incidents, implement changes, and perform routine maintenance activities.
• Plan and execute storage projects, covering solution sizing, infrastructure planning, implementation, and production rollout.
• Support storage environments running VMware, AIX, Windows, and Linux, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure storage availability and reliability.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise storage engineering, administration, and implementation.
• Experience in Hitachi storage architecture and platforms, including VSP, AMS, HUS, and Gx00 series.
• Hands-on experience in storage replication, snapshots, ShadowImage, synchronous and asynchronous remote replication, and Global Active Device.
• Strong experience in Brocade SAN switch and fabric administration, including zoning, ISL, trunking, and fabric integration.
• Experience in using Hitachi storage management tools such as HCS, HTnM, and HDLM.
• Experience in storage performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Strong experience in working with VMware and AIX, Windows, and Linux operating systems, along with basic scripting and incident and change management processes.
• Experience in managing storage projects from sizing and planning through implementation and rollout; project management experience is preferred.
