Job summary

National Heritage Board in Singapore seeks a Curatorial professional to join the Founders' Memorial’s Curatorial team. You will ground content in solid research and stakeholder engagement, shaping stories for permanent and temporary galleries, publications and digital platforms.

You will collaborate with Education, Interpretation and Digital teams, as well as collection managers, designers and translators to plan exhibitions, programmes and public engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Background in History or the Humanities relevant to Singapore’s post-independence history and nation building.
• Preferably at least 5 years in related curatorial- or research work with passion for Singapore’s heritage.
• Proven excellence in research, writing, editorial and presentation.
• Strong project and stakeholder management, able to work independently.
• Adept at navigating a fast-moving environment with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Curatorial research: conduct research on primary/secondary material and artefacts for the National Collection.
• Knowledge production: create and share new research pieces for exhibitions and publications.
• Community engagement: develop strategies to reach diverse audiences and gather perspectives.
• Collaborative projects: work with education, interpretation, digital, programmes and designers on exhibitions and content.
