Job summary

Synapxe invites you to join as an intern in Singapore, where you’ll contribute to powering a healthier nation through technology. You’ll gain hands-on experience in AI/ML on real healthcare datasets, focusing on sequential data like ECG signals and heartbeats.

You will work with the Data Science & AI team to explore AI techniques, run experiments, and help deploy models to mobile or edge devices, while developing practical skills and making an impact in HealthTech.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Year 2 or Year 3 pursuing a related degree.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Interest in GenAI technologies.
• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g., GPT-4o) or open source LLMs.
• Solid AI/ML concepts understanding.
• Independent, fast-learner and self-driven.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Able to multitask in a multidisciplinary team.
• Passionate about HealthTech.

Responsibilities

• Assist in exploratory data analysis on heartbeat, ECG, and PPG data.
• Help design methods to analyse and predict AF and other conditions.
• Support model exploration, training, and hyperparameter tuning; post-training explainability.
• Explore model quantisation to improve deployment efficiency.
• Assist deployment and testing of models on mobile or edge devices.
