SPD is seeking nursing care support staff to ensure the safety and well-being of clients under care. You will provide person-centred care, monitor during treatment, and assist with ADLs including catheterization and urinary drainage care.

You will help with routine exercises, wound care, and equipment preparation. Role requires teamwork, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with clients and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.

Qualificações

• Must have completed at least secondary education or equivalent.
• WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or relevant certificate preferred.
• Experience in caring for clients with dementia preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilidades

• To ensure the safety and well-being of the clients at all times.
• Provide person-centric model of care in daily operations.
• Monitor clients during treatment to ensure safety.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including catheterization and drainage care.
• Assist with nursing care or first aid (e.g., wound dressing).
• Prepare clients and therapy equipment before each session.
• Assist and/or conduct routine exercises/group therapy as directed by therapists.
• Maintain and report maintenance needs of therapy equipment.
• Keep department clean and secure after work hours.
• Collaborate with volunteers in client activities/sessions.
• Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.

• To ensure the safety and well-being of the clients under your care at all times. To be aware of safety procedures and never to leave clients unattended
• To provide person-centric model of care in daily operations
• To monitor clients during treatment to ensure their safety
• Assist clients in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) activities (e.g., urinary catheterization and urinary drainage system care), accompany clients to the toilet and assist them in elimination needs if necessary
• To assist clients with other nursing care or first aid (e.g., wound dressing)
• Preparing clients and therapy equipment before each therapy session
• To assist and/or conduct routine exercises/ group therapy/ activities session as formatted by the therapists
• Donning and doffing of prosthetics, orthotics etc. when necessary
• To provide necessary feedback/ information with regards to clients' behaviour to the therapist
• To be responsible for up keeping and maintenance of all therapy equipment and report any maintenance and repair required of the equipment
• To maintain the cleanliness of the department
• To ensure that the department is locked up at the end of the day
• To work in liaison with the volunteers who are helping in client activities/sessions
• To attend and contribute regularly at the following:
• Case conference
• In-service and client/caregiver support programmes
• Any other duties as directed as and when required

Requirements

• At a minimum completion of Secondary education or equivalent
• WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or relevant certificate preferred
• Experience in caring for clients with dementia preferred
• A team player with good interpersonal communications skills
• Able to communicate effectively with clients and caregivers from diverse backgrounds; proficiency in additional languages or dialects relevant to client needs will be an advantage
