Job Summary
The Grants Manager, Finance Operations will play a key role in overseeing accounting, reporting, and grants management functions across multiple operational areas.
This role involves managing cost allocations, supporting research and education programmes, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements while leading a team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
What you'll be doing
Oversee accounting and financial reporting for departments under operations shared services (e.g., Facilities Management, Environmental Services, Security)
Assist in the planning, development, and execution of cost recovery strategies, including cost allocations based on agreed frameworks
Provide financial accounting services to external vendors, ensuring accurate reconciliation, claims reimbursement, and reporting
Manage all funded programmes across various departments, ensuring proper utilisation and reporting of funds
Take ownership of grants management including:
Reviewing grant-related claims
Preparing reports for grantors
Supporting audits conducted by funding agencies
Tracking and monitoring grant utilisation
Support annual budgeting and forecasting exercises for assigned departments and programmes
Lead, guide, and supervise a team to deliver operational excellence in financial management
Undertake ad-hoc assignments from the Deputy Director and/ or Chief Financial Officer
What we're looking for
Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/ Finance or related studies
Strong experience in grants management, including claims review, audit support, reporting, and utilisation tracking.
5 – 8 years of similar experience in financial operations, with supervisory exposure and grants management preferred
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in financial systems and MS Office applications
Ability to lead a team, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively with stakeholders
