This position is a strategic role responsible for developing market and cross enterprise operations, driving health economics, and reimbursement strategies within EurAsia region. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the Medtronic products are accessible to patients by facilitating reimbursement projects and demonstrating the value of medical devices to healthcare payers, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
Lead the regional health economics and reimbursement strategy, ensuring alignment with EurAsia strategy, global Operating Units (OU) major therapies and portfolios and regional market dynamics.
Develop and implement market access strategies, including reimbursement and pricing strategies, to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
Engage with cross functional teams, including Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and Sales, to integrate health economics and reimbursement insights into product development and commercialization strategies.
Identify priorities landscape across major markets in EurAsia to submit reimbursement dossiers and evidence packages to authorities and payers.
Navigate and cooperate with local and regional reimbursement teams to ensure timely and favorable reimbursement decisions for prioritized therapies and portfolio.
Run reimbursement repository across major referral markets.
Monitor changes in healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and market conditions and adapting strategies as needed.
Stimulate strategy execution by engaging and involving Subject Matter Experts with Training & Education, Pricing, Regulatory, VP/GMs, Clinical, EurAsia Enablers and global OU relevant stakeholders.
Align operational model based on data driven Patient Access Acceleration (PAA) and alignment with cross enterprise stakeholders, project reviews, resource allocation discussions and decisions.
Educate and engage internal teams on reimbursement processes and health economics principles to enhance product positioning.
Provide training to commercial and marketing teams on reimbursement issues and value propositions of prioritized therapies and portfolio.
Conduct market research to assess payer perspectives, healthcare systems, and reimbursement trends in the region.
Analyze the competitive landscape and develop competitive intelligence regarding reimbursement status, cooperate with Pricing Teams to align pricing strategies.
Ensure all health economics and reimbursement activities comply with regional regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.
Work closely with regulatory affairs to ensure that reimbursement strategies align with regulatory approvals.
Requires mastery level knowledge of specialty area and working knowledge of several other areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have deep knowledge of project management.
Requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
