Head, Settlement & Transaction Processing

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Settlement & Transaction Processing Unit, focusing on the Issuing and Acquiring business for card transactions. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth processing of daily settlements, quick dispute resolutions, and adherence to regulatory compliance for Visa, MasterCard & UPI transactions.

As the Head of the team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and developing a high-performing group of professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Your people management skills will be key to motivating and guiding the team, ensuring everyone is aligned toward achieving operational excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a team in the timely and accurate processing of settlement payments.
  2. Address and resolve discrepancies in settlements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  3. Oversee daily settlement operations for schemes and networks to confirm transactions are reconciled promptly.
  4. Administrator of dispute transactions, ensuring timely response within SLA.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in settlement processes.
  6. Manage end-to-end transaction processing, covering but not limited to, IPP, GIRO/MMS/MPP, and book reconciliation, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Facilitate the timely submission of monthly and quarterly reports, Finance reporting, including schemes Operating Certificates and quarterly statistics.
  8. Drive improvements in transaction processing systems and workflows, and monitor multiple suspense schedules to mitigate operational risks.

Requirements:
  1. A degree in Banking, Business, Finance, or related fields.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to lead change across complex organizations.
  3. Proven track record of managing and motivating teams, fostering a high level of professionalism and work ethic.
  4. Ability to identify patterns and connections in complex situations, facilitating the resolution of underlying issues.
