Job Description and Qualifications

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Head of R&D to lead our Research and Development team in the performance chemical domain. The ideal candidate will have:

• B.Sc/M.Sc (Chemistry) / Ph.Experience in chemical industry with a minimum of 15+ years, especially in R&D roles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development: Oversee end-to-end process from concept to commercialization, ensuring innovation and timely launch of new products.
2. Research Project Supervision: Lead research projects, utilize R&D software like SciFinder, SmartChem, and manage analytical instruments such as GC and HPLC.
3. Test Protocol Compliance: Ensure all tests adhere to protocols, company procedures, and EHS policies.
4. Team Leadership: Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a team of at least 10 researchers and developers.
5. Data Recording & Reporting: Maintain accurate experiment data and observations for reproducibility.
6. Client Specifications & R&D Instrument Management: Develop products matching client samples and specifications, manage R&D instruments, and conduct preventive maintenance.
7. Internal & External Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and support technical product marketing activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with performance chemicals, especially surfactants, for over 10 years.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemicals, high-pressure lab-scale operations, and safety protocols.
• Prior experience in technical marketing and conducting performance tests at client locations.
