About the Role

As the Head of Department for Psychosocial Oncology, you will establish the strategic direction for the department, champion care transformation, and drive collaborations within NCCS and across the healthcare sector. You will play a crucial role in developing talent, supporting and implementing policies, directives, and regulatory requirements of SingHealth and MOH.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead strategic workforce planning, development, and engagement initiatives across SingHealth institutions. Oversee talent management, staff wellness programmes, and work redesign to build a resilient, future-ready workforce while fostering a safe and compassionate work environment.
  2. Spearhead education, research, and innovation initiatives within psychosocial oncology, fostering collaborations with academic institutions and promoting a culture of innovation. Drive high-quality research, publications, and the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance patient care and staff development.
  3. Manage domain performance, develop strategic workplans and budgets, and optimize resource allocation to achieve organizational goals and financial effectiveness.
  4. Participate in cluster and national-level committees as an expert advisor, advocating for professional needs and influencing service development. Engage in strategic planning with SingHealth senior management.
  5. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, ensuring engagement across all staff levels through diverse platforms.
Job Requirements
  1. Degree in an Allied Health profession
  2. Postgraduate Degree in an Allied Health profession, Healthcare Management, or Business Administration
  3. Valid registration/practicing license with relevant professional regulatory body (if applicable)
  4. Minimum 15 years of experience in the field, with at least 5 years in managerial/supervisory roles
  5. Proven leadership capabilities, including change management, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to adopt a systems thinking mindset
