Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Trading to lead our rubber trading operations. This is a high-responsibility role that requires deep market knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving, volatile commodities environment. You will oversee both physical and futures trading, manage risk exposure, and guide a team toward delivering profitable results.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end rubber trading activities, including physical and derivative markets
Develop and implement trading strategies based on market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and global pricing
Monitor and manage exposure, pricing risks, and profit margins within defined risk limits
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, brokers, and trade partners
Negotiate purchase and sales contracts to secure optimal terms and long-term partnerships
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of traders and analysts to achieve performance targets
Coordinate closely with logistics, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade execution
Oversee trading reports, P&L tracking, and ensure compliance with internal controls and trade regulations
Stay up-to-date with global commodity trends, policy shifts, and market developments impacting rubber
Take initiative to improve trading systems, processes, and team efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum 8–10 years of trading experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role in rubber or related commodities
Strong knowledge of physical rubber markets, international trading practices, and futures/hedging tools
Proven leadership and team management skills in a performance-driven environment
Strong commercial instinct, negotiation ability, and hands-on problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and make fast, confident decisions in volatile market conditions
High level of integrity, discipline, and accountability in trade execution
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, or related field
