Job description

Job Summary:

The Head of Technical will be responsible for managing a group of Technical Officers for security equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and system programming in accordance with required standards.

The Head of Technical reports to the Technical Director.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a department with multiple teams of internal and/or external resources to deliver specified works within agreed parameters.
  • Manage Security and Fire Decam teams and oversee the day-to-day activities and operations of the department.
  • Implement and enforce best-practice technical/project methodology and processes to the team, with the objective of better management.
  • Develop and actively manage project plans in line with company standards to ensure solutions are delivered within agreed parameters.
  • Take appropriate corrective action to ensure delivery remains on track.
  • Define requirements, agree on terms, and ensure delivery.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, communicate effectively, and keep control of deliverables.
  • Enhance current documentation of all infrastructure components and operational processes.
  • Study the current department structure and provide a proposal and implementation plan for the restructure.
  • Track and identify new opportunities to improve our methodology and training offerings.
  • Build technical relationships with prospects or existing/new customers.
  • Lead one team and manage the team to complete the works within the schedule and budget.
  • Set targets, implement guidelines, and assist with any issues team members may have.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies.
  • Be in charge of Technical BCM and Banking audits with technical solutions to address audit findings.
  • Handle customer complaints.
  • Participate in all programs and enforce all policies relating to performance evaluations and career development planning.
  • Enforce standard policies and procedures for the technical department.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience with a demonstrable record of success.
  • Good communicator with excellent coordination skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
  • Committed individual with great initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science or its equivalent.
  • Possess good leadership and organizing abilities.
  • Experience in the Security, ACS, CCTV, IDS, FIDS industry with integration knowledge and exposure to products and operations will be an added advantage.
  • Possess a minimum diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with at least 4 years of working experience as a managing agent of military camps.
