Job Summary:

On behalf of the hiring company, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Sales to lead and expand their sales efforts within the built environment sector, focusing on equipment and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) solutions. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving tender sales, identifying and developing new business opportunities, significantly improving our market share, and providing strong leadership to their growing sales team.


The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the built environment market, a proven track record in equipment and OEM sales, and exceptional strategic and execution skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for equipment and OEM solutions within the built environment.
  • Tender Management: Oversee the entire tender process, including identifying relevant opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, managing negotiations, and ensuring successful bid submissions.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities with key stakeholders, including developers, contractors, consultants, and OEM partners within the built environment sector.
  • Market Share Growth: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop and execute strategies that significantly increase the company's market share.
  • OEM Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with OEM partners to drive collaboration and mutual growth.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the existing sales team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Accurately forecast sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales activities, pipeline, and achievements.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's equipment and OEM offerings, as well as industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, technical, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer experience and alignment of business objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing return on investment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience within the built environment sector, with a strong focus on equipment and OEM sales.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing tender processes and winning significant contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development and expanding market share.
  • Established network of contacts within the built environment ecosystem in Singapore.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle and CRM tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with results-oriented approach and a strong drive to succeed.
