Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) is currently seeking a highly capable candidate for the position of the Head of Sales of Engine Services in Asia Pacific based in Singapore. The holder of this position shall report to the Head of Global Sales of Engine Services within the Business Segment Engine Services and will be responsible for:
- Leading, developing and managing a team of Segment Sales Managers in Asia Pacific, including recruitment, onboarding, and qualifying of new Segment Sales Managers.
- Representing and promoting LHT’s portfolio in the field Engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services to airlines and industrial customers in order to acquire new business orders.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships within the regional MRO community and among existing and potential customers.
- Developing and executing sales strategies in close cooperation with LHT Corporate Sales.
- Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, designing and executing specific sales campaigns for Engine MRO Services in order to achieve LHT’s sales and profitability targets.
- Understanding customer’s specific requirements and calculation of complex Engine MRO Services proposals in line with customer expectations and internal approval requirements, subject to careful risk analysis and in alignment with internal stakeholders.
- Compiling proposals for Engine MRO Services, definition, and presentation of features and benefits of LHT Engine MRO Services.
- Drafting and negotiation of contracts for Engine MRO Services in accordance with LHT internal requirements, including adjustment and/or revision of the scope of such agreements.
- Preparation, scheduling, and execution of customer visits.
- Monitoring and analysis of competitor activities and industry trends.
- Planning and participation in regional marketing and customer events (e.g. AeroEngine conference, MRO exhibitions, LHT customer events, etc.)
- Developing, implementing, and actively using efficient sales processes, procedures, and digital tools in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Your Profile
- University degree, preferably in Engineering or Business
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience within sales or customer care, preferably in the field of engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) or similar technical services, at a leadership level
- Good understanding of aircraft engine systems and aircraft MRO market
- Strong analytical, conceptual and presentation skills, knowledge of business practices
- Experience in planning, structuring and execution of complex workflows and projects
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead, guide and motivate multinational professional teams, to work and succeed in a team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, experience in customer relationship management
- Ability to manage and cope with high workload and time pressure
- Decisiveness, resilience and high sense of responsibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, prior experience with SAP would be a plus
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Knowledge of Asian languages or German is advantageous
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the Asia-Pacific region and to Europe
