Responsibilities:As a key member of the senior management team, the Head of Sales & Business Development will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for driving revenue and profit growth, managing credit quality and leading high-performance sales teams.
- Lead and manage Team Heads and Relationship Managers
- Targeting Singapore's Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), spearhead revenue growth through strategic business development and targeted sales initiatives
- Be responsible and accountable for the sales target4s of the department
- Responsible for the overall credit quality of the loan portfolios and assist in develop effective repayment strategies and work-out arrangements in conjunction with clients for problem cases.
- Provide regular market insights and sales performance updates to senior management
- Ensure all sales and business development activities align with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and the Company's operation framework
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely monthly and ad-hoc sales and other requisite reports
- Participate actively and constructively in the Company's general strategies, process formulation and operational decision deliberations
- Foster a strong sales culture by coaching, mentoring and developing team members
- Collaborate with collections department with the objective to maximise loan recovery for problem cases
- Ensure the smooth operation of the department and promote collaboration across business units
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned
Requirements:- Minimum15-18 years of experience in Commercial or SME Banking with a minimum of 8-10 years in a leadership capacity managing sales teams
- Experience in real estate and automotive sectors with good understanding and knowledge of these industries
- Strong credit risk analysis& market risk analysis skills with the ability to assess risk and deal limitations effectively
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to develop and conclude business deals and opportunities
- Proven track record in achieving revenue and profit growth
- Possess strong leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, with the charisma to inspire and lead by example
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and execution
