Job summary

Fuku is seeking a Head of Detection to design and lead our real-time intelligence layer. You will identify risks, anomalies, and opportunities across large-scale systems, leveraging data, systems thinking, and AI to detect meaningful signals from noisy sources and enable rapid decision-making.

You will architect the Defense Flywheel: Data → Signal → Decision → Action → Learning, and lead a team of detection engineers and applied data scientists to deliver high-confidence signals in real time.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years in real-time data systems and fraud detection/risk analytics.
• Experience with real-time anomaly detection platforms and high-volume data environments.
• Systems thinking and cross-domain dependency understanding.
• Experience with streaming systems and event-driven architectures.
• Applied AI / detection models and real-time deployment.
• Signal engineering and dynamic thresholds.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for cross-regional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build a Unified Detection System across client behavior, system anomalies, and cross-domain patterns.
• Integrate multi-source data into a unified detection layer with logs, metrics, and outcomes.
• Develop detection frameworks and scoring to deliver actionable, high-confidence signals.
• Design and deploy low-latency, real-time detection pipelines.
• Lead development of anomaly detection models and pattern recognition systems.
• Oversee incident replay, root-cause analysis, and model retraining pipelines.
• Partner with data engineering, risk/operations/trading teams to align detection with reality.
• Hire and lead detection engineers and applied data scientists.
