Position Overview

The Head of Real Estate will be responsible for the overall business and functions with the objective to develop a real estate business that is sustainable and scalable, built on strong fundamentals. The role would include:

1. Define the real estate private equity investment strategy, including target markets, asset classes, and investment structures.
2. Lead deal sourcing, evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and execution of real estate investments.
3. Drive asset value enhancement through active management, repositioning, leasing, redevelopment, or operational improvements.
4. Assess investment risk and ensure compliance with internal risk management frameworks and investment policies.
5. Develop and present investment papers, market outlooks, and exit strategies.
6. Lead and mentor a team of real estate investment professionals across various seniority levels.
7. Report regularly to the Head of Investment and investment committee on portfolio performance, market conditions, and investment outlook.

Minimum Requirements

1. Degree in Real Estate, Building, Marketing, Business, Finance or equivalent. A master's degree in these disciplines will be an advantage.
2. At least 15 years of experience in real estate including deal sourcing, acquisition, deal execution, asset management, marketing & leasing, banking & finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position. Experience in real estate private equity and the United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore markets will be an advantage.
3. Thorough knowledge of real estate cycles, deal structuring, corporate structuring, tax and legal.
4. Strong knowledge of real estate and negotiation skills, and familiarity with legal framework and corporate structuring.
5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal qualities, with high ethical and professional standards.
