Job summary

SCOR is seeking a Head of Pricing for South East Asia based in Singapore. You will lead the SEA Pricing team, oversee pricing and risk assessment, and collaborate with APAC and Global teams to ensure governance and profitable growth within SCOR’s risk appetite.

You will drive regional pricing initiatives, develop local guidelines, and recruit and mentor pricing talent while strengthening client relationships and SCOR's market position in SEA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years in pricing within the insurance/reinsurance industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science/Math; FIA/FIAA/FSA membership is preferred.
• Experience with major SEA markets and Life & Health products.
• Strong leadership, people management, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEA pricing function and deliver timely pricing quotations for new and existing business.
• Ensure pricing conforms to global pricing and underwriting policy and profitability.
• Develop and enhance local pricing and underwriting guidelines for SEA markets.
• Recruit, train, and retain pricing talent; build market intelligence for informed pricing decisions.

Job description

We are looking for a Head of Pricing - South East Asia (SEA) in Singapore.

This role leads SCOR's Southeast Asia (SEA) Pricing team, managing a team of Pricing Actuaries while overseeing pricing and risk assessment activities across the market. The position partners closely with the Head of Market to drive strategic objectives, strengthen client relationships, and support profitable business growth within SCOR's risk appetite. It also works collaboratively with broader APAC Pricing and Global teams to ensure compliance with pricing governance frameworks and contribute to regional and global research and development initiatives.

Keydutiesandresponsibilities

1. Tolead the PricingfunctioninSEAin thefollowingactivities:

• Responsible fordelivery of timelyandqualitypricingquotations onnewbusiness opportunities, andrepricingonexistingbusiness
• Ensure pricing conforms toSCOR’sglobalpricingandunderwritingpolicyandprinciples
• Ensure risks quoted and accepted are on a technically sound and profitable basis
• Detailed understanding of risks for new business and inforce business with consideration of the interaction with the SEA strategy and risk appetite
• Enhance and developthelocalpricing&underwritingguidelinesforallSEAmarkets
• Toprovidetechnicalsupportfornewproduct/riskdevelopmentinSEA
• TosupportinforcemanagementinSEAandensureemergingexperienceisreflectedin pricing/repricing
• Torecruitandretaintechnicaltalent,provideguidanceandtraining,ensurethedevelopment andstabilityofthepricing team
• Build market intelligence to enable informed pricing and risk assessment decisions
• Support buildingtheSCOR brand,promoting SCOR via speakingatinternal/external seminarsandactivelyparticipatingin theactuarialcommunity
• Develop and enhance relationships with external and internal clients

2. Tosupportregionalandglobalpricinginitiativesandprojects

Required experience & competencies

Experience:

• At least 12 years of experience with minimum 5 years of post-qualification pricing experience within the insurance/reinsurance industry
• Bachelor’s (or above) degree in Actuarial Science/Math or related field;
• Qualified member of one of major actuarial societies (FIA/FIAA/FSA)
• Experience with major markets in South East Asia preferred
• Extensive knowledge of key Life & Health products across individual and group segments
• Experience with reinsurance solutions/structures preferred
• Team leadership and people management experience required, coupled with strong project management skills.
• Experienced with main Actuarial tools
